The Ute Theater and the Visitor Improvement Fund is proud to present the Ute Big Bash, celebrating the theater’s 70th anniversary! Headlining the event, steeped in classic soul standards and outfitted with modern flair, The Burroughs are a nine piece band with a powerhouse sound that has been electrifying audiences across Colorado and beyond. Since 2013, the band has lit up stages with their trademark brand of “Sweaty Soul Music,” quickly earning their rightful place as one of the best live bands in the region.

The Burroughs performance will begin after an opening from Grand Junction based band Snootch followed by a return performance from Zolopht. Established in 2009, Zolopht has become a premier act in the Colorado music scene. Loosely described as psychedelic funk-rock, Zolopht has an entirely unique sound that is as catchy as it is progressive. Lovingly crafted music and rigorous nationwide touring has provided the band diehard fans around the country and beyond. Zolopht has shared the stage with artists such as: The Wailers, Robert Randolph and the Family Band, Dirty Heads, Jeff Coffin, Sam Bush, and Eric Krasno. With two full-length studio albums (pH-Balanced/Flexor*) under their belt and a third on the way, Zolopht has gained an unstoppable momentum.
