Wild & Scenic Film Fest

February 23, 2018 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Doors at 6:00 pm

Show at 7:00 pm

The Middle Colorado Watershed Council (MCWC) seeks to bring the community together around a resource everyone needs and cares about: water. Each winter, the organization hosts the Wild & Scenic Film Fest, a collection of short environmental and adventure films. The films show the challenges facing our planet and the people and communities working to protect it.

“We look forward to these evenings being entertaining, sparking conversation and maybe even inspiring action,” says Laurie Rink, executive director. “The Film Fest is a fundraiser for us. It’s
also a chance to educate, inspire, and engage the community in dialogue about issues facing water, hear success stories in the environment, and meet some inspiring outdoor heroes.”
There will be two screenings of the Wild and Scenic Film Fest in 2018:

  • Thursday February 22, 2018 at the Vaudeville Theater in Glenwood Springs, and
  • Friday February 23, 2018 at the New Ute Theatre in Rifle.

There will be 11 films and chance to win door prizes. Doors open at 6 p.m.; films begin at 7 p.m. Advance tickets are available online for $15, and all are general admission. On the day of the show, remaining tickets will be available at the door for $20. A full menu and full bar is offered at the Vaudeville Theater.

Sponsors of the 2018 Wild & Scenic Film Fest include Alpine Bank, Casey Brewing, Grand River Construction Co., Karp Neu Hanlon, Rifle Regional Economic Development Council, SGM, Sopris Realty, Bishop Plumbing & Heating, Berthod Motors, RJ Paddywacks, Roaring Fork Beer Company, Rifle Lock & Safe, Wright Water Engineers, Inc. and Mona Lisa Ladies Unique
