The Ute Theater welcomes back one of the spiciest zydeco bands in America, Dikki Du & the Zydeco Krewe!

Bandleader Dikki Du (Troy Carrier) was born to play zydeco. Son of the world-famous accordionist Roy Carrier, brother of world-famous drummer Chubby Carrier, Troy played the washboard with his family’s band and the great C.J. Chenier on tours around the world.

After learning the accordion, Troy created his own band to play originals and zydeco-flavored versions of party staples like “Mustang Sally” and “Fire.” The band’s funky instrumentals, searing guitar, syncopated rhythms, and intricate accordion work push the frontiers of zydeco and have made them one of the most popular festival and party bands in the country.

The band is a blast, but this crew means business. They are total pros, with that world-famous Louisiana charm. They dig what they do, and because they do, you will too.
