Facility is closed and generally unavailable for rental on the following holidays:

Permitted Uses

The Facility is a multipurpose theater and events center that can accommodate receptions, celebrations, meetings, concerts, performances, art shows, auctions, etc.

ADA Compliance


The main floor of the Ute Theater is compliant with the Americans with Disabilities ACT (ADA).  This includes the main lobby, restrooms, concessions area, theater seating space and the stage (ramp from seating area to the stage).  Also available upon request are assistive listening devises for the hearing impaired.

Private Events

Private events are not open to the general public.

Non-Profit Events

There are a number of different types of operations that are classified as non-profit organizations, including charities, service organizations, religious organizations, trade unions, and etc.

A non-profit may be structured in several different ways, but the focus of a not for profit entity is to provide services to 1 or more sectors of the populace, rather than to generate wealth. A Non-Profit organization must provide a copy of their 501 C 3 with the Facility Use Application.

Daytime Business

8 a.m. to 5 p.m. with a 3 hour minimum rental.

Professional / For Profit

Concerts, paid events, live performances for profit etc.

Community
City Partners, taxing districts and community service organizations.

Technical Specifications

Audience Entrance

The front entry to the building is located along East 4th Street. This entry is ADA compliant.

Seating Capacity

The audience viewing capacity will depend on the chosen seating arrangement for each event. The seating capacity can range between 200 – 300 patrons. The Ute Theater has available (12) 24” diameter bistro tables, (24) 72” diameter banquet tables, or (6) 6’ rectangular tables to arrange seating around. There are also plenty of chairs to fill the seating area if there is no need for tables. The seating space is open and flexible, there are no fixed seating arrangements.

Dressing Rooms

The Ute Theater is equipped with 2 dressing rooms, a green room and a restroom in the lower level located in the back of the facility (directly below the stage). Access to and from this space is directly behind the stage. Access to this space is only by stair – there is no ADA access.
