New Ute Theatre Society

The New Ute Theatre Society is a non-profit corporation which exists to establish, market and operate a community owned, non-profit theater, performing arts and special events center in the City of Rifle.





N.U.T.S. was formed in 2009 as a non-profit to support the efforts of the City of Rifle to create a performing arts and community gathering space for the citizens of Rifle. In 2018,NUTS sponsored a sold-out week long Summer Children’s Theater Camp along with supporting other non-profits with theater rental fees, Symphony In the Valley Annual Donation and bands performing at the UTE. In 2018 the eleven Board of Directors volunteered over 3500 hours and contributed financially for the Children’s Theater Camp, towards General Programming, supplies for performers and donations to other local non-profits including Symphony in the Valley, Rifle Animal Shelter, Rifle Creek Museum, Artilluma Dance Company, Hometown Holidays and Local school events. N.U.T.S. was honored to accept the Award for best Non-Profit Organization in 2018 from the Rifle Area Chamber of Commerce. Thanks to all that Support The Ute Theater!

*The New Ute Theatre Society (N.U.T.S.) is a separate entity from the Ute Theater, which is owned and operated by the City of Rifle. Donations made here go to the New Ute Theatre Society, which supports the Ute Theater and its projects. N.U.T.S. does not own or operate the Ute Theater.
