Oran Mor – Friday, June 26th

Oran Mor is a Scots Gaelic term that means “Big Song.” Tom and Karen Cochran founded Oran Mor, after playing music together in various configurations for over twelve years. Starting as a duo, they added their son Brendan on percussion and vocals and Jonathan Satz on bass and vocals and now play most often as a quartet. Occasionally, guest artists will join the group as well. Their repertoire features Scottish and Irish music, some of which dates back to the late 1700s, as well as current Celtic music and Americana tunes, with a few originals tossed into the mix.
With instrumentation that includes recorders, Irish whistles, guitars, bass, hand drums, percussion instruments, and beautiful harmonies, this group’s music can transport its listener to an earlier time, or to a happier place. Oran Mor plays a variety of venues, including concert stages, festivals, farmers markets, art exhibit openings, wine tastings, weddings, dinners, house concerts and more.

Thank you to our sponsors for pulling together to offer a COVID friendly opportunity for local performers!
